NATURAL COSMETICS CERTIFICATES

Many people swear by certificates. I admit, I do too. When I was about to certify my products, I wanted all the certificates. Well, one thing is desire, another is realization. To obtain certificates, it is enough that everything you say about your cosmetics is 100% true, because otherwise you will not obtain the certificate. For me, this was not a problem, the problem is finances. Yes, they are not cheap. Just to get a piece of paper in my hands, given to me by a committee of experts, that the product is really what I claim as a manufacturer and seller, it costs. For now, I told myself that it is more important for me to invest money in good ingredients, but when the euros are returned, I will definitely invest in certificates that will satisfy all the unbelieving Tomažka ;).

So far, all SkinFairytale products have been certified by Aromacert. Aromacert® is a standard for certifying cosmetic products that guarantees a high level of quality from the point of view of strict aromatherapy criteria (straightness, authenticity, purity of ingredients). Let me list some of the advantages of this certificate and what you gain with it:

The Aromacert® quality mark on the packaging of a cosmetic product guarantees the customer that the product is 100% natural, safe, high-quality and aromatherapeutic , which significantly increases the added value for them. The fact that your product is equipped with the protected Aromacert® logo, which it was able to obtain only because it was properly tested and certified, will give you a long-term advantage over the competition. Experts in the field of cosmetology and aromatherapy carry out testing and certification of the product and issue an Aromacert® certificate with a validity period of 12 months. After the expiration of the validity, the certificate must be renewed through a simplified procedure.

COSMEBIO (FR) AND BIOGARANTIE (BELGIUM)

Cosmebio and Biogarantie are non-profit associations of various companies and institutions that issued standards for organic cosmetics in 2003. These standards are usually certified by the accredited certification body Ecocert, which is also marked on the product, and only members of the association can obtain certificates.

95% of the ingredients must be from certified organic production, chemical synthesis of ingredients, petrochemical derivatives are prohibited, ingredients must not be toxic to humans and aquatic animals, and must not be irradiated.

These products do not contain paraffin, petroleum derivatives, silicone, formaldehyde, chlorine derivatives, various PEGs (polyethylene glycols), parabens, phenoxyethanol, synthetic fragrances and artificial colors, genetically modified organisms, diethyl phthalate, nitro musk.

A special feature of this standard is that the ingredients on products that, according to European legislation, are labeled using the uniform INCI nomenclature in English, must be translated into a language understandable to the consumer.

TRUE

The pan-European NaTrue standard was developed by an international association of representatives of cosmetics manufacturers and retailers, such as Laverana/Lavera, Logocos/Logona, Primavera, Santaverde, Wala/Dr. Hauschka and Weleda. In 2008, they issued standards for three levels, which are marked with stars: one star for “natural” cosmetics, two stars for “natural and organic” cosmetics and three stars for “organic” cosmetics.

Physical processes (pressing, condensation, drying, etc.) are permitted in the production of raw materials and ingredients. However, the use of GMOs, chlorine, or irradiation of ingredients or products is not permitted.

Cosmetic products with two stars (“natural and organic”) must contain 70% plant-based ingredients from certified organic production/agriculture, while those with three stars (“organic”) must contain 95%.

For all three levels of standards, it is permitted to use from 5% to 15% of synthetic ingredients.

COSMOS standard

This is the latest standard for "natural and organic cosmetics", which will be implemented at the end of the year, and was issued by the accredited certification bodies BDIH, SOILASSOCIATION, ECOCERT, BIOGARANTIE, COSMEBIO AND ICEA. Thus, all six national standards have been combined into a single, pan-European standard, which covers

division into natural and ecological (bio, organic) cosmetics, as prescribed by the individual standards of all six institutions.

SOME OTHER LABELS FOUND ON "NATURAL" AND "ORGANIC" COSMETIC PRODUCTS AND THEIR MEANING:

The ECO control certificate ensures that products comply with the rules for natural cosmetics according to BDIH criteria and Na True standards.

The “cruelty free” label (a jumping rabbit) is a trademark of companies that have not tested their products or raw materials on animals throughout the entire production process.
