It crawls, crawls, crawls on my head, irritates my scalp, it itches sooooo much...
I have to say that I haven't met them "yet" at my daughter's, thank God, but who wants to meet them? 😉
Since I love essential oils and have used them to relieve my ailments many times, I found a recipe that might come in handy as a protection against lice. A preventive or curative spray that you can spray on your hair before kindergarten, school...
Spray for prevention or treatment
"The base of essential oil sprays is most often lavender or tea tree hydrolates, with the rest being tea tree or lavender essential oils, geranium, eucalyptus, jojoba and other herbs," says Saša Radulović.
You can make the spray by mixing together:
100 ml tea tree hydrolate
10 drops of tea tree essential oil (Melaleuca alternifolia)
10 drops of geranium essential oil (Pelargonium graveolens)
10 drops of Himalayan cedarwood essential oil (Cedrus deodara)
8 drops of lemon eucalyptus essential oil (Eucalyptus citriodora)
Add all the essential oils to a suitable spray bottle and add the hydrosol.
Spray the mixture onto your scalp 3 times a day. Shake the spray bottle well before each use, as essential oils do not dissolve in the hydrosol. Be careful not to spray into your eyes.
Older children can tolerate a stronger concentration of essential oils, so you can double the number of drops of essential oils. Adults can also use this preparation if lice are present, but the amount of essential oils should be tripled.
