Almost there, and we too can treat ourselves to a seaside getaway. I look forward to every vacation, and this year's one in particular. But since accidents never rest and something unpleasant always happens on vacation, I always arm myself with a home first aid kit. I don't know why, but always on the main vacation someone accidentally spills something or gets sick. And that's why I really don't want injuries and viruses to stop us and ruin our vacation, if only it were possible, of course.
This time I will introduce you to our traveling pharmacy 😉
Essential oils are always our companions on our travels because they save us from many problems, and if we use them correctly and at the first recognition of an illness, we prevent many illnesses that would otherwise interrupt our enjoyment.
My "favorite" lady ANGINA, she likes to visit me at the seaside, but in recent years I have successfully avoided her with tea tree essential oil and a mixture that I have prepared to support the immune system (I will present it in the fall). My little mischievous girl's ears are critical, so a roll-on mixture with tea tree and basil essential oil and/or garlic, which is the best natural antibiotic anyway, comes in handy, so I also have it in capsules with me to help us in combination with liposomal vitamin C.
If you have digestive problems, zeolite and a blend of fennel, peppermint, ginger, and anise essential oils work great. I take individual oils and, depending on the problem, mix them in a base of fractionated coconut oil, which is a great base for essential oils due to its non-greasy structure.
For insect bites, scratches, bumps and similar accidents, which unfortunately are not uncommon at sea, if nothing else, mosquitoes tease us, and for all these problems, SoSbalm is the top balm, a description can be found at: https://skinfairytale.si/izdelek/sos-balm/ .
If you get sunburned, we can help with essential oils of peppermint, lavender, and immortelle in aloe vera gel, the recipe for which you can read here: https://skinfairytale.si/shop/2018/06/30/after-sun-resitelj/ .
My boyfriend also loves to ride his bike on vacation, and after a ride, I prepare a mixture of aloe vera gel with peppermint, wintergreen, and rosemary for his muscles, which has a soothing and pain-relieving effect on the muscles.
To help with coughs, the best essential oils for us are lavender, boswellia, cedar and immortelle, again in a base of fractionated coconut oil. In addition to rubbing them on our shoulders and chest, we also drink bay leaf tea, which we luckily have in our garden at the weekend. It has a pleasant taste and is easy to prepare. You need 4 bay leaves, which you place in 2 dl of cold water and let them boil for 5 minutes. Then you can enjoy the preparation throughout the day in sips.
I hope that you don't get sick with viruses and bacteria on your vacation, but if you do, I hope that some advice from our pharmacy helps you and that you can get back to your favorite summer activities as soon as possible, because as the lyrics of the song by the band Zmelkow say: "The meaning of life is lying on the beach, with your brain off...".
Have a nice holiday!
