SKIN CARE WITH HYDROLATES

You often ask me what I recommend for baby care, what shampoos or soaps. I didn't use any of these for my baby simply because I thought they were completely unnecessary.

But I used hydrolates. Do you know them?

Hydrosols are a by-product of the distillation of essential oils. They are colorless liquids similar to water. They boast many useful properties. They can be used to tone the skin, cleanse the skin, refresh the skin, disinfect after depilation, for faster healing of wounds under the balm, against itching, etc. They have a soothing effect on children's skin. Despite the fact that they look like water, they retain a wonderful aroma. Of course, which one we choose is also important, depending on the desired result or purpose.

Some suggestions for using hydrolates:

BABY BATH

Add a tablespoon of lavender or chamomile hydrosol to the bath. Both hydrosols will have a calming effect and will lull your baby to sleep. Lavender suited my little girl very well, she fell asleep like a “baby” ;).

ASS CLEANING

If you are using regular cloths to clean your butt, I suggest you make a mixture of water and hydrolate. Ratio 1:1 and then dip the cloth in this liquid and then gently clean your butt. This will clean and care for it.

TONING

Instead of regular facial toners, I recommend you try hydrolates. I wouldn't trade them for anything :). If your skin is dry, you can choose from hydrolates: immortelle, rose, boswellia, patchouli, chamomile, geranium, lavender

If you have problems with impure skin with pimples and acne: tea tree, lavender, boswellia, immortelle, lemon balm, ylang ylang, petigrain, geranium, mint.

However, if you don't have any major problems and just want your skin to smell nice and be cared for, I definitely recommend rose.

ATOPIC DERMATITIS

The most common symptom of dermatitis is itching. I recommend immortelle hydrosol, you can spray the skin with it several times a day, even before applying balms. Suitable for both adults and children.

REFRESHING MIST

In the summer, when it's hot, something refreshing comes in handy. I swear by lemon balm and grapefruit in the summer :).

FACE MASK

If you are making natural masks with clay, you can now use hydrolates instead of water.

BURNS

If you get burned by fire or get too much sun on the beach in the summer, lavender and mint hydrosols will come in handy.

These are just a few tips for using hydrolates. I hope you enjoy them yourself :).
