The renewed CreamyGlow line!

A twin that is both makeup and skincare product!

There are days (or every day) when we want to highlight our beautiful facial features to feel good about ourselves and be even more confident. Or we are getting ready for dinner and would just like to lighten or darken certain areas of our face and décolleté.

At Skinfairytale, it is very important to us that you feel good in your own skin, while at the same time offering you a quality product.

How have we improved the formulations?

The formulations are now very light and slightly mattify the skin. As a result, they are also suitable for anyone with oily skin. The products moisturize and nourish your skin, and the ingredients in the formulation also have an antioxidant effect.

Application options:

  1. InlightMe can be used as a "primer" before liquid foundation, or you can mix it with liquid foundation, whichever suits you best.
  2. Apply InlightMe to all areas you want to brighten (cheekbones, above the lip, along the nose, décolleté, etc.).
  3. Apply BronzeMe to all areas you want to darken – contouring (cheekbone area, lower jaw area, etc.).
  4. The CreamyGlow line provides a natural skin look or is an addition to makeup.

Why antioxidants?

Antioxidants are substances that can:

  1. They protect the product, making it more stable.
  2. They protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals.

A quick note on free radicals

Free radicals are produced as a result of cellular metabolism and due to the influence of external factors such as ultraviolet light, chemicals and other pesticides, polluted air, cigarette smoke, etc.

Free radicals are atoms and molecules that have lost an electron (electrons come in pairs). An odd number of electrons makes a molecule unstable, as they "want" to gain/lose an electron to become more stable again.

Because they are reactive, they can trigger chain reactions, causing a lot of damage. Ultimately, the harmful substances thus formed can even kill the cell or at least damage it to some extent.

Cells that are very sensitive to oxidation are:

  • Lipids
  • Protein
  • DNA record
  • Carbohydrates

This is seen in the skin as a changed composition of collagen, elastin and connective tissue. The result is reduced firmness and elasticity of the skin, which is why the skin is dry and wrinkled.

Because free radicals are formed by oxidation, they are also called reactive oxygen species.

Mechanisms against radicals

Our body has mechanisms that neutralize free radicals. We call them enzymatic defense systems, which are carried out in our bodies by superoxide dismutase, catalase, and glutathione peroxide.

There are also non-enzymatic defense systems that our body cannot provide. The antioxidants present in these processes are very familiar to you. Among them are vitamins E, C and A. These molecules "catch" free radicals and slow down the oxidation process. Our body must obtain these molecules locally or orally.

Antioxidants are inherently unstable, colored, and susceptible to degradation in the presence of oxygen. Changing their chemical structure to something more stable, such as esters, increases their stability, but also makes them less effective.

What makes the CreamyGlow formula so special?

The formulation is mainly made of oils, with added moisturizers and of course antioxidants and pigments. We have highlighted a few ingredients that stand out in the product.

Rosehip oil

The most famous oil for anti-aging care. Rich in vitamins A and C, which are very important for collagen formation. In addition, it soothes inflammation, as it contains polyphenols, anthocyanins and vitamin E, the latter being better known as an antioxidant.

Rosehip oil also fights fine lines, hyperpigmentation, scars, and protects the skin from the effects of the sun's rays. However, it is definitely not an oil to use instead of SPF cream.

Ubiquinone or coenzyme Q10, Q10 for short

It is a well-known antioxidant, soluble in oil and present in human cells. Coenzyme Q10 acts as a radical scavenger, protecting mitochondria, lipid membranes and DNA from oxidative damage. The amount of coenzyme Q10 decreases with age, and UV radiation, which leads to damage, further reduces it. If it is added topically (cosmetic products), ubiquinone levels can be supplemented

Grape seed oil

Oil is a constant in our products. A very high-quality oil that is very light, but has a good fatty acid composition. It has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antioxidant properties. The oil helps protect the skin from the harmful effects of UV radiation.

Cupuacu butter

Butter helps improve skin elasticity and also has an antioxidant effect. It is capable of retaining water and therefore moisturizes the skin well. It is suitable for skin care that has been exposed to the sun's rays, as it has anti-inflammatory and soothing effects due to phytosterols and powerful antioxidants.

Oryzanol

It is able to slow down the process of melanogenesis (skin discoloration). At the same time, it prevents lipid peroxidation. It is mainly used to prevent freckles, age spots and skin darkening.

Carrot extract

It contains carotene, which is a very strong antioxidant. It is capable of moisturizing the skin as well as having antibacterial properties. It is also suitable for sensitive skin, as it has an anti-inflammatory and soothing effect.

Panthenol, glycerol and hyaluronic acid

These are all very well-known and high-quality moisturizers that we simply had to include in the formulation. In addition to moisturizing the skin well, they also soothe the skin and promote healing.

A few more features of the CreamyGlow line:

  • CreamyGlow does not contain essential oils or fragrances.
  • Also suitable for sensitive skin.
  • It can also be used by individuals with combination to oily skin.
  • Gives a natural look to the skin.
  • Non-comedogenic formulation.
  • The product is suitable for face and body
